About Appalachian Wireless Arena
Appalachian Wireless Arena is Eastern Kentucky’s center for culture, education and entertainment. The Arena is the premier venue for entertainment and conferences and is in the heart of downtown Pikeville. The Arena opened its doors October 3, 2005 and has since hosted a variety of acts and shows from Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special, 3 Doors Down, Godsmack, Staind, Martina McBride, Chris Stapleton, Larry the Cable Guy, Alice Cooper, Trace Adkins, Casting Crowns, Montgomery Gentry, Kid Rock, Hank Williams, Jr, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Alan Jackson, Kansas, Marshall Tucker Band, Eric Church, Tim McGraw, Avenged Sevenfold, Shinedown, Chevelle, and many more. Fans have also enjoyed a variety of other events such as Motorsports, Monster Trucks, Disney Live, Sesame Street Live, WWE, Circus, Lipizzaner Stallions, sporting competitions, regional high school tournaments, conventions, conferences, graduations, proms, meetings and much more!
Description of Venue
The 126,000-square foot facility has an arena floor approximately 24,000 square feet and will provide concert seating up to 7,000. It is designed as a multi-purpose facility, complete with approximately 5,000 square feet of ballroom space overlooking the arena floor adequate for banquet-style entertaining.
