The 1^st SUMMIT ARENA, formerly known as the Cambria County War Memorial, first opened its doors in October of 1950. In the 73 years since then, it has hosted over 500+ shows in a wide range of genres. The 4000-person arena, which seats up to 3797 for concerts and 3517 for hockey, is home to Hockeyville, USA and the Johnstown Tomahawks who play in the North American Hockey League.

Besides sporting events, 1^st SUMMIT ARENA has functioned as a community rink for local hockey programs, public skating, and private events while hosting many forms of entertainment including concerts, kids show, weddings, comedy shows, showcases and more!
