Sacred Dominion with special guests Crown The Lost, Chapter XII, and Sacred 13
Sacred Dominion, a Pittsburgh based band, is the musical brain-child of Mario Brescia, Daniel Corso, Jeff Anzelone and Benjamin J Chiarini. Founded in the spring of 2004, the four started writing and recording music with and emphasis on intricacy, diversity, melody and power. With the multiple influences within the band, the bands music has morphed into a diverse group of songs. Sacred Dominions brand of melodic progressive heavy metal, along with their often conceptual lyric will hopefully entertain you as well as make you think.

As the grandson of Hank Williams and the son of Hank Jr., he was country music royalty before he ever sang a note. But he didn't immediately follow his forebears musically, choosing instead to bang around the Southeast, playing drums in punk and hardcore combos and smoking prodigious amounts of weed. It was the outlaw spirit of his lineage, alive and unwell and floating in the bong water. By 1996, steep child support payments and his thirst for Mother Nature had forced Hank III onto to the straight and narrow, and he signed a contract with Music City giant Curb. The label issued Three Hanks: Men with Broken Hearts, which brought the voices of all three generations of Williams men together via the ghastly miracles of modern technology. It was about as far from what Hank III wanted as he could get and signaled the beginning of his stormy relationship with Curb.
FLAW with special guests XFactor1, After The Fall, & Payl - Presented in association with Jagermeister & Shady Lady Productions
"Why buy three different records to find the types of songs you like--from an intense wailing song that kids will dig, to a more ambient and hypnotic tune, when one band does it all?" Flaw queries. Why indeed, when the 13 tracks on Flaw's dramatic and cohesive Republic/Universal debut, Through the Eyes, including its aggro, dynamic and multi-faceted first single, "Payback," cover a wide-ranging emotional and musical gamut, "heavy" and "melodic" being the common denominators. But within Flaw's aural and emotional power and honesty, captured deftly by producer David Bottrill (TOOL, Peter Gabriel), an atmospheric soundscape prevails, expressing and exorcising vocalist Chris Volz's personal and provocative lyrics.
The Toadies with special guests Gringo Star and After The Fall
“There’s a certain uneasiness to the Toadies,” says Vaden Todd Lewis, succinctly and accurately describing his band—quite a trick. The Texas band is, at its core, just a raw, commanding rock band. Imagine an ebony sphere with a corona that radiates impossibly darker, and a brilliant circular sliver of light around that. It’s nebulous, but strangely distinct—and, shall we say incorrect. Or, as Lewis says, “wrong."
With their eye-opening full length debut CD, mercury has turned heads and garnered high praise from press and radio outlets across the northeast. A hard work ethic along with dedication and pride in their live show have helped secure a strong and loyal army of mercury fans and supporters. If it is rock you seek, it is rock you shall find.
Ed Kowalczyk - Lead singer of Live with special guests Thriving Ivory and Miggs
In mid-2008, Ed Kowalczyk found himself in an unfamiliar situation. As the singer and songwriting force behind the multi-platinum rock band Live, Kowalczyk had been playing music professionally for nearly two decades. But for the first time in his life, Kowalczyk felt no urgency to write songs or have anything to do with music for that matter. “I was in a malaise about the whole thing,” Kowalczyk says. “I felt like I had done everything I wanted to do and wasn’t sure if I wanted to re-engage.”
A contemplative person by nature, Kowalczyk turned inward for a period of soul-searching. “Then, out of nowhere, I got this incredible inspiration to do it again in this new way,” he says. “I realized that one of the limitations I was experiencing was the fact that I’d been doing it the same way for so long that I wondered what would happen if I challenged myself and tried things differently. From then on, it was like uncorking a bottle that had been shaken and it exploded into this writing fervor.”
Mushroomhead with special guests Final Trigger, Kohelth, Stygian, & Prime 8
Known for its theatrical live show and the black masks that most of its members wear on-stage, Mushroomhead is one of the more unique and adventurous alternative metal outfits that emerged in the 1990s. And the Cleveland band's music is as interesting as its image; Mushroomhead's forceful yet melodic alterna-metal incorporates elements of hip-hop, punk, and goth rock as well as industrial and techno. The members of Mushroomhead have been performing incognito since 1993, when drummer Skinny founded the band. At first, Mushroomhead was only meant to be a side project. Its members were playing in various local bands at the time, and they wore the blacks masks (which look like a cross between S&M/bondage masks and World War I gas masks) so that people wouldn't recognize them. The only Mushroomhead member who doesn't wear a black mask opts for Kiss-like clown makeup instead. After a few years, Mushroomhead became one of Cleveland's top local attractions -- and its members kept wearing the masks when they saw how intriguing people found them to be. Mushroomhead's self-titled debut album was released independently in 1995, followed by Superbuick in 1996 and M3 in 1999. The Midwesterners signed with Eclipse in 2000, and their next album, XX, came out the following year. In 2001, Mushroomhead's members included drummer/founder Skinny, lead vocalists J. Mann and Jeffrey Nothing, guitarists Bronson and Gravy, keyboardist Shmotz, bassist Pig Benis, and sample provider Stitch when they signed to Universal Records to re-release XX. Their first proper effort for the label was 2003's dynamic XIII, but the band soon parted ways with not only Universal, but also vocalist J. Mann during a subsequent tour. Undeterred, Mushroomhead pressed on with their D.I.Y. ethos intact and welcomed new frontman Waylon, formerly of 3 Quarters Dead, into the fray. The DVD Mushroomhead, Vol. 1 followed in mid-2005 before the guys returned in September 2006 with Savior Sorrow, released through New York-based indie Megaforce Records.
Strung Out with special guests Rufio, Mute, We Are The Union, and A Vision Within
Strung Out’s latest album, Agents Of The Underground, is not only their 7th full length, but it also marks the band’s 20th anniversary and is a true testament to their relevance and longevity. Think about it: two decades. Two decades in the underground with thousands of live shows, tours on five (5!) different continents, over a million records sold… and they’ve managed to do it all while on an independent record label. More striking than their massive sales, which is a notable for any artist in this day and age, but the fact that the band that has never had help from “the industry”. They may not have household name status, but they do have a colossal worldwide following and a loyal fan base that has been with them since the very start. Such is Strung Out’s true legacy: devotion to the music, devotion to the band, and devotion to the fans.
Spacehog with special guests Chux Beta, The Silent Wire, and Tobacco Road
Spacehog mixes glam-rock influences, such as David Bowie and T. Rex, into its wall-of-distorted-guitars alternative-rock sound. The quartet formed in New York City in 1993 when British drummer Jonny Cragg moved there and got a job killing rats in the basement of an espresso bar. He met guitarist Antony Langdon, also from the U.K., at the coffeeshop, and the two decided to visit topless bars and jam together. Langdon's brother Royston soon joined the group as a vocalist, and they added guitarist Richard Steel to round out the lineup. Almost immediately after the lineup coalesced, they attracted the attention of Sire Records president Seymour Stein, and their debut album, Resident Alien, was released in 1996. It soon spawned the hit single and video "In the Meantime." The Chinese Album followed in 1998. Three years later, Spacehog had a new deal with Artemis Records and issued a third effort entitled The Hogyssey.
Sea Wolf (solo acoustic) with special guests Sera Cahoone, Patrick Park, and The Sunflower Spectacle
Taking its name from novelist Jack London’s 1904 seafaring adventure, Sea Wolf has evolved organically from its hermetic origins in Alex Brown Church’s living room into a muscular, full-bodied musical entity with passion to burn. After adopting the sobriquet, Church burst onto the music scene in two-fisted fashion with the EP, Get to the River Before It Runs Too Low, and the subsequent full- length debut album, Leaves in the River, about which Interview magazine observed, "His music is both erudite and unvarnished, a blend of swirling melodies, literary balladry and damaged art-rock composition."
Who's Bad - The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band
In glitzy jackets, glittering gloves and 80s regalia, Who's Bad, The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band, is an infectious party production that takes audiences on a musical expedition spanning three decades of Michael Jackson's chart-cresting music. From ABC to You Rock My World no song is forgotten in this electrifying revival of Pop Music's Royal Highness. Founded in 2004 by Vamsi Tadepalli and spearheaded by some of North Carolina's optimum musicians, Who's Bad has crafted an intricate performance complete with synchronized dance routines, blaring horn section and down-deep rhythms--each delivered with a precision that could only be superseded by the King himself. Since their first standing-room only concert, audiences have crowned them must-see entertainment singing along as if the moves, the music, and the memories belong to us all.
One Sweet Burgh - Dave Matthews Band Tribute with special guests Sunday Morning (No Doubt Tribute Band)
It's no secret that Pittsburgh loves the Dave Matthews Band. They have been selling out multiple shows a year there for over a decade. This love affair between the city and the music of the band is the inspiration for One Sweet Burgh.
Justin Nozuka Band with special guest Alex Cuba and Ry Cuming (Rescheduled from August 24th)
"I just want to be myself, you know?" says Justin Nozuka. The briefest of nervous laughter, and a wry grin, say what he can't say for himself: There is such a thing as too much introspection, even for a guy who's made his mark by being candid and reflective. That irony is informed by the old soul behind 21-year-old Nozuka's fresh-faced countenance, and the duality is striking. New York-born, Canadian bred Nozuka is young enough to have interview jitters, but sufficiently wise to recognize when he stands to sound, well, full of it. So he's ever vigilant, lest his character fall out of tune with who he wants to be: "I don't wanna create [an inflated image of myself]."
There’s been no free ride in Hedley’s steady climb to the top. Over four years, the Vancouver band has earned two multi-platinum albums and won acclaim and a devoted fan base through a constant regimen of hard work and relentless touring. Nor is there an ounce of phoniness in the group, led by irrepressible frontman Jacob Hoggard, a former Canadian Idol contestant himself. In fact, much of Hedley’s huge appeal lies in the band members’ refusal to take themselves too seriously.

Identity X with special guests The Cascade Atlantic, Model Class Citizens, and more
Since its original conception in January 2003, Identity X's music has evolved, grown, and matured like a fine wine or a bottle of aged scotch (whichever you prefer). With members David Toole (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Darin "D-Napps" DiNapoli (Guitar), Christopher Sheader (Bass), Teener (Guitar), and Jim Krieger(Drums), each dedicating ample time perfecting their skills as not only songwriters but also as performers, the band as a whole has become quite a regional spectacle in the genre of Rock/Alternative. With musical roots deeply embedded in rock, metal, jazz, blues, and even classical, their sound is an artistic expression rich in dynamics, beauty, and aggression.
Breathe Carolina with special guests Artist Vs. Poet, Call To Attraction, & more
When Dave Schmitt and Kyle Even formed Breathe Carolina in 2007 they didn't anticipate that their project started "just for fun" would explode into an internationally sought-after band in just two short years. But like all the best, most exciting new bands, Breathe Carolina’s unprecedented story began with a fan-base that grew organically, fueled by an enviable, rapidly spreading word-of-mouth, and the undeniable spark of something unique.
36 Crazyfists with special guests Straight Line Stitch, Taking Dawn, and Arcane Haven
If forced to describe Alaskan heavy metal unit 36 Crazyfists in just a single word, you might want to go with persistent.
Since forming 16 years ago, the band's released four records through three different labels, lost members to everything from the usual band in-fighting to fatal car crashes, and they've shared the road with the likes of Alice in Chains, Atreyu, Killswitch Engage, Chimaira, Diecast, God Forbid, Walls of Jericho, and Poison the Well. They've steadily made a name for themselves and faced several ups and just as many downs. But this summer, one of Alaska's finest exports will return to the vibrant metal scene it helped forge with 'Collisions and Castaways,' the band's fifth record and first since 2008's 'The Tide and Its Takers' became 36CF's only studio offering to open in Billboard's Top 200 Chart.

In summary, this record is inventive, immediate and infectious. Read More: http://www.myspace.com/sevendust
Entering what F. Scott Fitzgerald might term the third act of an already celebrated career, Max Weinberg presents the Max Weinberg Big Band. Building upon his seventeen years as the leader of what Tom Shales, famed TV critic of the Washington Post called, “the best band in late night Television,” the Max Weinberg Big Band is a bold, swinging fifteen piece aggregation that continues the traditions established by Max’s musical heroes—among whom, Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Doc Severinsen, and Maynard Ferguson lead the pack.
Misfits with special guests Juicehead, The Edukators, and Children of October
"It started as a twisted dream"... 30 years ago in a small town in New Jersey called Lodi. It was there in April of 1977, at the dawn of the punk movement, that the Misfits were born. Taking the title of Marilyn Monroe's last movie as their name in a move to immortalize her image - singer Glenn Danzig and bassist Jerry Only set out to make an impression. They wound up making history and creating a legacy that's power has not only stood the test of time, but also transcended into an entirely new generation. Lineup changes followed and by early 1980, the band coalesced around co-founders, Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only along with guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein (Jerry's youngest brother). Throughout the span of their career, the Misfits audience has developed into an army of "fiends" (the term for die hard Misfits fans) generating more interest today than ever before.
Obscured By Pink is a Pink Floyd Tribute Band from the Pittsburgh area and is presently working on their first CD for release in the fall of ‘09. The band has performed at both indoor and outdoor venues with both small and large audiences. Their audio system is capable of handling most any situation up to large festival-type shows. They describe their evolving light show as a “work in progress.” Obscured By Pink is dedicated to performing a show that captures the essence of a great period in musical history. Originally the band was launched as a classic rock band which played music from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s but, due to common interests among the members, evolved into the band it is today. The anticipation and reception has been so encouraging that the band has decided to perform this material long into the future. Obscured By Pink performs titles from virtually all Pink Floyd albums and will, upon request, perform some of the band’s more “obscure” material.
MAE presents Goodbye, Goodnight Tour (Farewell Tour with all original members) with special guests Terrible Things (ft. members of Taking Back Sunday, Coheed & Cambria, and Hot Rod Circuit), Windsor Drive, & The Composure
The "Goodbye, Goodnight Tour" will kick off in early October and run through the end of November. The band's first performance together in over 3 years took place in Singapore on June 19th and while the long term future of the band beyond this tour is unclear, the "Goodbye, Goodnight Tour" will mark the band's indefinite farewell. The band plans to announce openers and tour dates in the weeks to come. Says SWEITZER "I am looking forward to playing music live with Zach, Jacob, Mark and Dave again. It did not take long during rehearsals to see that we have chemistry as a band even after being apart for 3 years. It is already apparent that there is a renewed energy and enjoyment in playing live together again." GEHRING adds, "Despite all the change that we've been through, both personally, and as MAE, the underlying creative current is still refreshingly strong."
And for the future? Says ELKINS, "The future is as unpredictable as it has always been. We will take advantage of this tour to express our gratitude to our fans and enjoy the bond that we've grown and are growing again among the five of us."
The Acacia Strain with special guests The Red Chord, Terror, Gaza, & The Contortionist
It can be said some bands truly embody a certain spirit or emotion. Without a doubt, Massachusetts’ long running juggernauts, THE ACACIA STRAIN, truly embody anger. And that shows more than ever on their new full length, “Wormwood.” The band’s actual sound and vibe are more ferocious than ever on this, their fourth full length for Prosthetic Records, their fifth effort, overall.
Hey Monday with special guests Cartel, The Ready Set, This Century, & We Are The In Crowd
In an era where most bands stumble through their formative years waiting for success to find them, more likely the product of a lucky break than a hard-fought breakthrough, Hey Monday dare to be different. Luck? Save it for a band who needs it – this south Florida five-piece have earned their success the old-fashioned way… They’ve worked for it.

You can't get rid of us, we will not go away, so suck it! =) Life is good, we love what we do and totally give props to anyone who has ever paid a cover charge to come rock out with us over the last 14+ years and beyond. We do this because people need sum juice. It's pretty lame out there so MRGG is here for your service. :-) So come say hello and party with us....IT'S A CELEBRATION!!

For over seventeen years FUNGUS has served as Western Pennsylvania's premier jam band, featuring a tribute to the Grateful Dead and the everlasting legacy of Jerry Garcia. Fungus specializes in recreating the festive atmosphere that followed the Dead to each of their concerts. In addition, Fungus shows highlight a host of strong originals as well as a full compliment of classic rock covers. In June of 1991, Terry Callahan, former guitarist of MCA recording artists The Zippers, formed Fungus with guitarist Dave Gasbarro and drummer Matt Montgomery. Recently added bassist Dan Eaby rounds out the core of a band that rocks with high octane rhythm. No two shows are ever the same! Fungus is proud to have shared the stage with such notable artists as Jefferson Starship, JGB, The Band, Arlo Guthrie, David Grisman, Dark Star Orchestra, Dickey Betts and Great Southern, Vassar Clements, David Nelson Band, Peter Rowan, Tony Rice, Commander Cody, Donna Jean Godchaux, Zen Tricksters, Big Brother and The Holding Company, Yonder Mountain String Band, David Gans, Jimiller band, Scott Blasey of The Clarks, Juggling Suns, and many more. After spending an evening with John Valby,Audiences find themselves wanting more and more of him. What makes Valby so unique and entertaining is his uncommon rapport with the audience and his ability to mix his musical Talent with a mad-cap variety of "Dirty Ditties".Few people can resist laughing at songs that would have earned them a mouthful of soap when they were children.Valby's repertoire is composed of popular songs, limericks, classical arrangments and his own original creations.Valby has made a career out of poking fun at his audiences, stretching the limits of free speech and accepted good taste and satirizing current events from behind the piano. When he's not playing and singing, he yells obscenities:the audience yells back and everyone has a good time.
The best way to descibe John Valby is to blend the following performers: Allen Sherman,
spike Jones, Lenny Bruce and Wierd Al Yankovic all topped off with the Dirt of Redd Foxx, Only better.
Bruce In The USA is much more than just another tribute… This high-energy musical experience is a note-perfect and visually accurate recreation of a Bruce Springsteen & The E. St. Band show.
Matt Ryan, from the World Famous “Legends In Concert” cast, played the Springsteen character for eight years, in their “full scale” Las Vegas show. The great success with “Legends” evolved his character into the Bruce In The USA show. His amazing portrayal of “The Boss” (not to mention his jaw-dropping resemblance) is as close as you can get to see the real thing in concert. Backed by a strong, powerful Clarence “The Big Man” Clemons…and a smokin’ handed “Little Stevie”, Bruce In The USA takes this genre of performance art to a whole new level. Making it the World’s #1 Tribute to the E. St. Band’s legacy.

His gifts of music and storytelling, paired with his creative compulsion for songs that burrow deep into the soul, have his dedicated fans continually coming back for more.
